Welcome to Black Cat Closet! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of blackcatcloset.com (the "Site") and any purchases you make from us. By using our Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site. 🖤

1. About Us

Black Cat Closet is a DBA of J&W Neko Ventures, LLC, a California limited liability company. References to "BCC," "we," "us," or "our" mean J&W Neko Ventures, LLC operating as Black Cat Closet.

2. Eligibility

By using our Site, you confirm that you are:

  • At least 18 years old, or using the Site with parental supervision
  • Legally able to enter into a binding contract
  • Not prohibited from receiving our products under US law

You don't need an account to browse, but you'll need one to place an order. You're responsible for:

4. Products & Pricing

We do our best to accurately describe and photograph our products, but:

  • Colors may vary slightly due to monitor/screen settings
  • Sizing can vary by manufacturer — please check size guides
  • Prices are listed in US Dollars (USD) and may change without notice
  • We reserve the right to limit quantities, refuse orders, or correct pricing errors (including after an order is placed)

If we cancel an order due to a pricing error or stock issue, we'll refund you in full and let you know promptly.

5. Orders & Payment

When you place an order, you're making an offer to purchase. We accept your offer when we send your order confirmation email.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders for any reason, including:

  • Suspected fraud
  • Items being out of stock
  • Pricing or product information errors
  • Suspicious or unusual order patterns

Payment is processed at checkout via Shopify Payments / Stripe. We accept major credit cards and other payment methods listed at checkout.

6. Shipping & Returns

Our Shipping & Returns Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By placing an order, you agree to that policy. You can read it here or in the footer of our Site.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on our Site — including the Black Cat Closet name, logo, product designs, photography, illustrations, and written content — is owned by J&W Neko Ventures, LLC or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

You may not:

  • Copy, reproduce, or redistribute our content for commercial use
  • Use our brand name, logo, or designs without written permission
  • Scrape, data-mine, or use automated tools to extract content from our Site

You're welcome to share our content on social media for personal, non-commercial use (and we love when you tag us 🖤).

8. User Content

If you post reviews, photos, comments, or any other content on our Site or social media tagging us, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and share that content for marketing and promotional purposes, with credit when possible.

You agree not to post content that is:

  • Illegal, harmful, threatening, or harassing
  • Infringing on someone else's rights
  • False, misleading, or deceptive
  • Spam or unsolicited promotion

We reserve the right to remove any user content at our discretion.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless J&W Neko Ventures, LLC, its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Site.

13. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

If a dispute can't be resolved informally, it shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Alameda County or Contra Costa County, California, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest version. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Severability

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in full effect.
